I have studyed Bikram yoga here in the UK and a variety of different styles in Thailand.
Now a mum of two. A 2 year old baby girl, Florence (see picture) and a 1 year old baby boy, Joseph.
I have spent the past 2 years moving into my new role as mother. A part of this has been learning how to communicate, encourage, support and play with my children. I found that yoga helped me feel strong and confident in myself emotionally and physically, and felt that Florence and Joseph could also benefit from this experience too.
This is when i discovered yoga that you can do with your babies and children. It sounds mad, and I get a lot of people who are very sceptical of this idea, however I have found the benefits to be of enormous value to both my babies and have been training to become a baby yoga teacher over the last two years.
I am currently running classes for mums and babies upto the age of 1 years, whilst running classes at the local Montessori school for 2.5 - 5 year olds.
Doing yoga with babies is fun and rewarding, with lots of singing, stretching and playing.
